Benefits of a Lifting Strap or Moving Harness

Jan 12, 2017

If you’re like me, you were not built for heavy lifting. To lift any sort of large appliances or furniture piece, I would need an extra hand… but sometimes that’s even more awkward. Now both of you are gripping to the corners of this washing machine for dear life with uneven weight distribution. Moreover, all that bending down and lifting puts some serious strain on your lower back. Thankfully, U-Haul has a variety of options when it comes to moving and lifting tools such as a lifting strap or moving harness to take the weight off your back, literally.

Benefits of Lifting Strap or Moving Harness

Moving Harness

The Moving Harness allows you and a moving partner to easily lift, without putting extra pressure on your back. It also ensures even weight distribution. The harness goes around your torso and connects to a Forearm Forklift. Because the weight is now distributed properly between yourself and your partner, the large, heavy item you’re lifting will feel 66% lighter than carrying it the traditional way! Get that washer, dryer, dresser, cabinet or whatever else moved easily with the right tools. Moving Harnesses come in a complete set with the Forearm Forklifts and as an individual item.

With the help of a partner, you will be able to easily lift large, heavy items with better posture, reducing lifting exertion by 66%.
