When planning your spring break vacation, it can be hard to choose from the many options that exist these days. A big factor to consider is what you want to do when you get where you’re going. Every spot on this list has plenty of nightlife and bars to choose from, so we are going to focus on what you shouldn’t miss during the day. Here are our top 5 spring break destinations in North America, and whywe think each one is a good pick.
Miami, Florida
Miami is one of the quintessential Spring Break destinations. When you think of Miami one of the first things that probably pops into your head is “party”, and that is pretty accurate. The main place you will want to go is South Beach, which is renown for it’s lively atmosphere and shopping. Other places you might want to check out are the Miami Zoo, the Miami Seaquarium, and the Miami Museum of Science. Or just party until you forget what year it is.
Montreal, Quebec
Canada, our friendly neighbor to the North, has many great vacation spots, but our personal favorite is Montreal. The most common language there is English, so taking a refresher course on French isn’t necessary before you visit (it doesn’t hurt though). If you love art then the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is a must. Other places to check out are the Notre-Dame Basilica and Old Montreal.
San Diego, California
Sunny California! Definitely one of our top picks. There is a ton of stuff to do in San Diego, but a couple of our favorites are Balboa Park, and the San Diego Zoo. Also, The Hotel Del Coronado is right outside the city and has beautiful ocean views. Staying there is a tad pricey but well worth it if you can afford a bit of luxury.
New York City
Everyone should visit “The Big Apple” at least once in their life, and spring break is a great time to do it. If you can see a show at the Radio City Music Hall, do it. The place is world famous for a reason. Also don’t forget to visit Central Park which is much more than just a park, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Las Vegas, Nevada
Very few cities are as well known as Vegas for embracing the party lifestyle. It won’t be hard to find something to do along the Strip, but at some point if you want to get away from the city lights the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is gorgeous and worth the drive. Also, don’t forget to stop by the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in the Bellagio.
