Steps to Modify or Cancel Your Reservation

So, you’ve reserved your moving equipment and are ready to go. Suddenly you get news that the move is no longer happening. Here’s what you need to do to cancel or modify your reservation:

Step 1:

Ensure your moving truck, trailer, or portable storage container reservation is handy. Be sure to have stored it in a place you can easily remember; this can be on our app, an email confirmation or a screenshot of your order.

Step 2:

There are different ways you can modify or cancel your reservation. Here are the options available:

  1. Go into our app, sign in, and see your reservation from your account. A button will direct you to modify or cancel your truck, trailer or U-Box container.
  2. Log into your U-Haul account online and do the same step as the mobile option.
  3. Call your local U-Haul representative or at your pick-up location and tell them you need to modify or cancel your reservation.

We recommend canceling at least 24 hours prior, as this will help you avoid any penalties. If you find yourself in a situation where cancellation is necessary, you can always resort to visiting or contacting your nearby U-Haul center and talking to one of their representatives. Simply let them know you need to cancel a reservation, and they will gladly assist you.
