It can be a challenge to find additional storage space in what is likely the smallest functional room in your home- the bathroom. Below, we give you a run-down of the best possible places to amp up (or at least improve) the storage in your bathroom.
1. Wall Cabinets: One of the single best ways to add extra storage is by installing wall cabinets. These units don’t take up any of the very limited floor space in your bathroom, and can be more convenient than under the sink storage for items used frequently. Use wall cabinet storage for practical items like toilet paper, extra tissue, shower products, towels and linen, or toiletries such as body lotion or hand cream. This is also a great place to store beauty and hair products. The doors are great for concealing any of your less sightly but necessary items.

2. Shelving: Another great option that can have a more visual appeal is shelving. It’s a great storage option when visibility is not an issue. From floor to ceiling shelving, to a few shelves behind the toilet, you can add more decorative items to the shelves such as hand towels, interesting bottles and jars, or aroma therapy candles. Try and keep the look cohesive and minimal because the items will not be concealed behind doors.

3. Drawers: Bathroom drawers have so many options for creative storage limited only by your imagination. Many items we use in the bathroom are small and can become mixed in with the rest of the junk in these catch-all drawers. Poor organization can lead to misplacing important and expensive items. For better organization, add smaller dividers within each drawer and assign a particular product to each compartment. For example, keep all hair styling items in one drawer. Divide off a narrow space toward the bottom of the drawer for small hair rubber bands, bobby pins and accessories. Use the longer section of the drawer for hair brushes and combs.

For example, keep only one bottle each of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and other products you use daily in the shower. 5. Behind the Door Storage Wet towels and dirty clothes on the bathroom floor can put a stop to your bathroom organization faster than you can say “clutter”.
