Perfect except this one was too big and I had to do surgery on it. Thank goodness I did because the post office almost wouldn’t take it because of its size.

Hello, Nan! Yes, this box would be perfect for an item of those dimensions. Thank you!

–Savannah 9/29/2020 11:52:17 AM

How is it designed for two to fit together so it can hold a larger item? If they are the same width how do you slide 1 into the other? Do you have to cut off the narrow side of one of the boxes so the long item fits through both?

–Elizabeth 7/13/2020 6:12:00 AM

Hi, Elizabeth! The boxes are not designed to telescope together, but you can use the flaps to interlock the boxes and tape them together, thus creating a longer box to accommodate larger frames/mirrors. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 7/13/2020 9:30:30 AM

Does it come with the 4 foam corners?

–Elizabeth 7/13/2020 6:09:55 AM

Hello, Elizabeth! Our mirror box does not include any foam corners, just the box itself. You can purchase our Picture Packer Kit separately to use with the box. Thank you!

–Savannah 7/13/2020 9:27:05 AM

Can this box be used for shipping something that weights about 40lbs? The store says this box is just for moving but the Q&A says it can be used for shipping

–Elizabeth 7/13/2020 6:09:28 AM

Hello, Elizabeth! This box is suitable for shipping and can hold up to 65 pounds. We always recommend making sure you properly protect and isolate whatever you are shipping with packing materials like Enviro-Bubble. Thank you!

–Savannah 7/13/2020 10:02:27 AM

Can you cut the box down to a smaller size

–Jeff 7/6/2020 2:50:01 PM

Hello, Jeff! Although it's certainly possible to cut down the box to a smaller size, we don't recommend doing so since it would impact the integrity of the box. If you want to use the box with a smaller item, the best option is to fill the spare space in the box with some kind of void fill like crumpled up Packing Paper. This would keep the smaller item from shifting in the box while in transit. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 7/13/2020 10:08:52 AM

what is the weight of this box?

–gloria peterson 6/13/2020 8:03:13 PM

Hello, Gloria! Our mirror & picture box weighs 2 pounds. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 6/16/2020 2:42:45 PM

How many items fit in one box?

–Stacey 4/18/2020 11:10:38 AM

Hi, Stacey! The answer to your question depends on the size of each item you would like to place in the box! If you would like to use one mirror & picture box for multiple pictures, we recommend wrapping each in a protective material such as Enviro-Bubble so they do not damage one another in the box. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 4/20/2020 10:01:19 AM

are these acid-free for transporting/storing artwork?

–karen 2/20/2020 11:46:39 AM

I have a mirror that is 48" X 36", what size boxes should I use

–James Geeze 6/21/2019 9:07:21 AM

Hi, James! For a mirror that size, we recommend our Four Piece Mirror & Picture Box. We also recommend wrapping the mirror in some kind of protective material before placing it in the box such as Furniture Pads. Thank you!

–Savannah 6/24/2019 9:45:16 AM

How many pictures can you put in picture box

–Kellie 5/10/2019 12:23:41 PM

Hello, Kellie! This highly depends on the size of each picture. The box is 37” x 4” x 27”. We also recommend that if you place more than one photo in the box that you properly wrap each photo in packing paper to ensure they do not damage one another in the box. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 5/13/2019 3:34:24 PM

Would this box fit a 43 inch tv

–Kathy 3/20/2019 12:31:08 PM

Hello, Kathy! We do not recommend this box for use with TVs. Please see our Flat Panel TV Kit, which is designed to be used with 43" TVs. Thank you!

–Savannah 3/20/2019 3:27:39 PM

I need have a picture measuring 28x25 and I have another picture that is 21X23. Would thes boxes work for them? With the corner protectors will that keep them safe?

–Cathy Robertson 1/23/2019 9:32:04 PM

Hi, Cathy! Yes, our mirror & picture box is suitable for both of the pictures you mentioned. We recommend placing each in its own picture box. Your pictures will certainly be their safest if you use protective products such as our Picture Packer Kits or if you wrap them in something like Enviro-Bubble. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 1/24/2019 7:19:41 AM

You talk about putting two boxes together, but what I need to know can both the width and height be changed by buying 2 boxes. in other words, can the 37" be up to 74" minus the overlap AND can the 27" be up to 54" minus the overlap?

–Kim 1/20/2019 8:28:35 AM

Hi, Kim! When two mirror boxes are put together, only one of the measurements is going to increase. Since the opening of our mirror box is on the length side, only the height is going to increase (27" to 54"). I hope that makes sense!

–Savannah 1/23/2019 7:49:42 AM

If my picture is 37X27, will 4 bubble corners fit?

–Chris Cook 1/17/2019 11:23:29 AM

Hi, Chris! Whether or not the bubble corners will fit will depend on the thickness of your picture, but regardless it might be a tight squeeze. If you want to make sure your picture is properly wrapped and padded in the box, you might be better off going with our Large Mirror Box so there is room to pad the picture. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 1/24/2019 7:35:00 AM

I would need a box to fit a 24 inch flat screen TV. Could you suggest a size?

–Susan Buzzetto 1/13/2019 6:58:41 AM

–Yvonne fazio 10/30/2018 12:38:47 PM

–Savannah 10/30/2018 1:03:21 PM

–Savannah 5/22/2018 8:51:51 AM

Can this box be used for shipping as well?

–Dyan Thornton 4/7/2018 10:43:41 AM

Hi, Dyan! Yes, the Mirror / Picture Box can be used for shipping. Please ensure that the contents, if fragile, are properly wrapped and protected. We recommend using Furniture Pads or Enviro-Bubble. Thank you!

–Savannah 4/10/2018 1:06:00 PM

Will this work for a round mirror?

–Anita 3/5/2018 11:40:03 AM

Hi, Anita! This depends on the dimensions of the round mirror. If the measured dimensions of the mirror fit within the dimensions of the box (37” x 4” x 27” or up to 54" wide when two boxes are used) then this box will work. Thank you!

–Savannah 3/13/2018 10:04:05 AM

How much are these boxes

–Ashton Dalton 2/3/2018 1:16:03 PM

Hello, Ashton! A Mirror / Picture Box is currently $4.95 USD (6.60 CAD). This pricing applies if you purchase the item online to be shipped to your home or if you choose to purchase/pick up the item from a U-Haul Center. Thank you for asking!

–Savannah 2/6/2018 8:53:07 AM

What do you do with the extra space in the box once the picture is in (i.e. a 20 x 28 picture in a 27 x 37 box)

–Scott 11/26/2017 4:49:48 PM

Hello, Scott! If there is extra space in your mirror box, you can fill the empty space with a protective material such as Biodegradable Packing Peanuts, Enviro-Bubble, or Cushion Foam. Filling extra space is important to ensure the artwork, mirror or picture doesn't shift. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 11/27/2017 11:51:40 AM

I have 3 oil painting. They are 44x45x1.5 and 42x48x1.5 (2 this size). Do I need to buy 4 small picture boxes for each and join them together? Can I put 2 of the same size in one? I would probably need to use bubble wrap?

–Camila Velez 9/16/2017 6:43:13 AM

Hi, Camila! We recommend purchasing 2 large mirror boxes for each of your paintings (6 total boxes) and telescoping them together to ensure your paintings are properly boxed. You could also put two paintings in one box together, meaning you only purchase 4 total boxes. You should also wrap each of the paintings in Enviro-bubble to make sure they are well-protected.

Any boxes you do not use can be returned to a U-Haul Center near you for a refund. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 9/18/2017 11:39:20 AM

–SAVANNAH 8/11/2016 3:10:40 PM

Can you recommend a good option for moving framed photos which are substantially smaller than this box is designed for? (16"x18" frame, for example.) I've got a LOT of them.

–SAVANNAH 7/26/2016 1:54:02 PM

–Lita 9/12/2015 9:24:17 AM

Lita, it is tough for us to tell without knowing the dimensions of your frames/photos.

If you are trying to fit multiple photos into a single box, you would just want to make sure they fit within a 37" x 4" x 27" space, including an protective material you will be placing between photos.

–Joseph 9/14/2015 12:09:31 PM

–Joseph 6/25/2015 4:40:13 PM

how to telescope the mirror boxes together?

–jiji 6/6/2015 12:33:42 PM

Begin at the top end of the first box by folding the small flaps in, then fold one large flap on top of the other and tape.

Move on to the second box and press along the dotted lines on the left and right sides until there is an indent or break in the cardboard. Without cutting the flap lock tabs on the bottom end of the first box, and by squeezing the second box sides so they intent, slide the second box into the open (bottom) end of the first box.

Slide your item(s) into the box, then on the open end of the second box, fold the small flaps in, fold one large flap on top of the other and tape. Secure the middle portion where the second box telescopes into the first box with tape.

–Joseph 6/8/2015 4:49:59 PM

How do I assemble this box?

–pat 12/21/2014 4:27:25 AM

Our program manager for boxes and moving supplies writes: "Begin at the top end of the first box by folding the small flaps in, then fold one large flap on top of the other and tape. Move on to the 2nd box and press along the dotted lines on the left and right sides until there is an indent or break in the cardboard. Without cutting the flap lock tabs on the bottom end of the first box, and by squeezing the second box sides so they intent, slide the second box into the open (bottom) end of the 1st box. Slide your item(s) in the box, then on the open end of the 2nd box, fold the small flaps in, fold one large flap on top of the other and tape. Secure the middle portion where the 2nd box telescopes into the 1st box with tape."

–BATTLE 12/4/2014 2:08:13 PM

–Ronald 12/4/2014 2:14:08 PM

how do you fold the mirror box?

–joe 11/21/2014 8:31:19 AM

"If you are using 1 mirror box: Begin at the bottom of the box by folding the small flaps in, then fold one large flap on top of the other and tape. Flip the box over, place your item in the box and fold the top small flaps in, then fold one large flap on top of the other and tape. When using 2 mirror boxes together: Secure the bottoms of 2 mirror boxes as stated in the single box instructions. Leave the flap tabs on the top of the boxes in tact and none of the flaps folded in. Press along the dotted lines on both sides of one of the boxes (the one that will be sliding inside the outer box) which will allow it to slide more easily into the other box. Once you have them telescoped, tape securely."

–James Geeze 6/21/2019 9:07:21 AM

–Dan 7/24/2017 10:37:05 AM

What box do you recommend for a framed mirror measuring 29" W x 65" H x 2" D?

–Joanne 8/7/2016 7:58:44 PM

–SAVANNAH 8/11/2016 3:10:40 PM

Can you recommend a good option for moving framed photos which are substantially smaller than this box is designed for? (16"x18" frame, for example.) I've got a LOT of them.

–Sarah K. 6/13/2016 2:25:24 PM

–SAVANNAH 7/26/2016 1:54:02 PM

–Lita 9/12/2015 9:24:17 AM

Lita, it is tough for us to tell without knowing the dimensions of your frames/photos.

how to telescope the mirror boxes together?
